The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved the construction of Mambilla Hydro-Electric Power plant the sum of N5.792 billion dollars.This was announced during the FEC meeting which was held today at the council chamber in Abuja.
The Minister of Power Babatunde Fashola disclosed that the construction of four damns required would take 72 months.
Nigeria is expected to provide 15percent counterpart funding in the joint venture agreement with China.
However, Mambilla is to deliver 3,050 megawatts but the minister did not disclose when the project would begin.
